Our Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) was believed to be Sadiq ( a person who tells the truth) and Ameen ( trustworthy), even by the non-believers. After him, the justice and the truth, prevailed during the times of khulfa-e- raashideen as well. They feared Allah, the Almighty, and this fear never let them do injustice to their people.
If we talk about the current era, everybody turns to our religious scholars to get the solution to their problems. These scholars have a heavy responsibility towards this umma. But are these scholars really trustworthy? I have been trying hard to find an answer to this question since long but I am still in a state of dilemma. I see around myself, a mob of hypocrites in the guise of religious scholars who sell fatwas declaring a haraam act as halal just for a few pennies. The role of these scholars was to unite the nation but they rather broke them into different small fragments. They themselves move in luxurious cars and live a lavish life but keep asking others not to be spendthrift. They stepped into politics at the cost of their major responsibilities towards the society. For a society like ours, whose literacy rate never touched even 40%, all it takes to go astray is a fatwa from a religious scholar. Some of them would go to live in willowwacks, jungles and mountains to get closer to Allah but not a single one of them would step forward to work for the betterment of our society. None of them is ready to get this nation out of the quagmire of backwardness and illiteracy. I see around myself another mob of devils in the shape of peers, at order of whom, an illiterate group of people even slaughters their daughters and wives.
During the older days, the umma had people like Hazrat Omer Faarooq (may Allah be pleased with him), for justice, for understanding the religion and finding the solutions to their problems but people like me have these hypocrites and despotic devils around. Its the high time when our religious scholars should understand their responsibilities towards the society and if they don't, then I am afraid that illiteracy and injustice will prevail in the society.

i totally agree with you. the other day i was watching a video on youtube in which a molvi sahab gave a fatwa that marrying your own sister is halal. can you believe this?!?!.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more of you, we already discussed the reservations, jus keep up the good work bro :)
ReplyDeleteYes fiza, i got to know of it. I was disgusted by his fatwaa. May Allah protect us from all these fitnaas.
ReplyDelete@Sarfaraz: You will get to see more INSHA ALLAH.
ReplyDeleteYes Salman , credit goes to you. This needs to be addressed , discussed for the time and generation next to come.
ReplyDeleteAll those who impersonate to be Leaders of religion cannot be trusted these days.
For them to be followed and accepted, they need to be role models first following Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H)and Khalifas. Irrespective of this, their is no way, one should believe them.its all about money these days.
Having a grown beard, keeping eyes low, talking in mild tone, pays them on Tv channels as religious scholars. It has become a targeted profession now.
About the youtube video Fiza mentioned. Its terrible to know this..even a man with little understanding would never think of even discussing this, and the person whomever he is issued Fatwa.this shows their brains are all empty.
I totally agree with you afnan
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. scholars are called to be one of the important sources of Islamic laws. They are the one who do IJMA, QIyas and IJTIHAD but in present circumstances, most of the people are just wondering around what to do when the sources are not reliable. May Allah bless and show right path to all the Muslim Ummah. Amean
